Avid free-style rock climbers, skiers, boarders, rafters and all-around outdoorsmen, the Mehl brothers have built several log homes in the area, including three at the Golden Anchor in Canaan Valley and most of the cabins located in the Hopeville Canyon Expansion at Harman’s North Fork Cottages in Cabins near Seneca Rocks.
The five brothers that comprise Alpen Haus Crafters have built over 125 log homes in 42 of the 50 United States, the largest being a 5,000 square-foot, two-story in southern Maryland.
